About HKISG events

HKISG hosts briefings, workshops, and community sessions for Hong Kong security practitioners, member organisations, and invited guests. Events connect our published methodology, bulletins, and education programmes to live Q&A — with clear separation between membership benefits and assessment outcomes.

Events are announced with dates, registration links, and capacity notes. Member organisations receive priority invitations for programme briefings; selected sessions are open to registered public attendees when space allows.

Event types

Methodology and ratings briefings

Orientation sessions for organisations entering the Trust Review queue. Covers rubric v2026.2 domains (including AI security & model governance), evidence expectations, conflict declarations, and appeals routes. Attendance does not influence scores — it prepares participants for a fair, scoped assessment.

Awards and white-hat testing windows

Information sessions ahead of the HKISG IT Awards cycle: nomination criteria, testing scope, publication rules, and integrity commitments. Useful for product owners and security leads preparing evidence.

Practitioner education workshops

Hands-on sessions aligned with Online Education modules — incident response tabletops, board briefing practice, and secure-by-design reviews for engineering teams.

Hong Kong Security Outlook briefings

Quarterly public sessions accompanying the outlook report published in the Programme Calendar. Anonymised trend data, threat themes, and recommended actions for the coming quarter.

Registration and attendance

Registration is handled via external links when events are announced on this page. HKISG does not sell speaking slots or sponsor-only agenda items without disclosure. Co-host requests from member organisations are evaluated against editorial and conflict rules.

For speaking or co-host requests, use the contact form.

Trust and limitations

HKISG events are educational and community-facing. They are not incident hotlines, regulatory hearings, or substitutes for HKCERT coordination. Event materials may be recorded or summarised for members; attribution and correction rules follow our Editorial Standards.

Upcoming

Programme announcements will appear here as dates are confirmed. Check the 2026 Programme Calendar for quarterly emphasis and assessment windows.

FAQ

Are events free?

Public briefings may be free with registration. Member-exclusive workshops are included in annual membership tiers. Any paid sessions state the fee and purpose at announcement.

Can vendors sponsor events?

Sponsorships fund programme capacity only. Sponsors are disclosed; sponsors do not select assessment outcomes, editorial content, or rating scores. See Governance & Integrity for conflict rules.

Will slides be published?

Selected sessions publish slides or summaries for members. Materials carry dates and correction paths under Policies & Standards. Do not treat slides as formal audit or legal guidance.

How do I propose a topic?

Members may propose practitioner topics via contact. Proposals need a Hong Kong-relevant audience, identifiable speakers, and alignment with HKISG editorial standards — not product pitches.
